June 15, 2018, 9:00 AM - September 16, 2018, 5:00 PM @ Roswell Museum and Art Center
Magical & Real: Henriette and Peter Hurd, A Retrospective, is the first exhibition to explore all aspects of the careers of this artist couple-from their earliest successes in the 1920s to their late career works- and to place their work within the larger context of the 20th century American art. Co-organized with the Roswell Museum and Art Center in New Mexico, the exhibition is also the first scholarly project to probe private collections and family archives highlighting their relationships to other family members, particularly N.C. and Andrew Wyeth- and the first to evaluate their work within the broad context of the 20th century American Art. The exhibit will be on display June 15 to September 16, 2018. For more information, call the Roswell Museum and Art Center at 575-624-6744.
July 14, 2018, 7:00 AM - October 6, 2018, 11:00 AM @ Chaves County Courthouse Lawn
Join us for the MainStreet Roswell Farmers’ Market every Saturday July 14 – October 5, 2018 from 7-11 a.m. on the historic Chaves County Courthouse Lawn.
Fresh greens, chiles, root vegetables, delicious baked goods, crafts and more! All produced locally!
The Saturday morning markets are a great way to gather with friends and neighbors and shop for tantalizingly fresh, New Mexican food. Chat with the vendors about their wares, take in the colors and aromas of just-picked vegetables and fresh baked goodies, watch local cooks prepare fresh burritos, fajiatas and more using seasonal produce, and enjoy the great view of the Chaves County Courthouse.
This year we are proud to be accepting EBT for food products.
If you have any questions or would like to become a vendor, please contact Peggy Seskey at firstname.lastname@example.org
